Almarena® Typeface — A lineal drawn with precision, designed to last.

Calm, structured and deliberate, Almarena® Typeface was conceived as a typographic foundation: a clear and confident alphabet built on balance and restraint. It embodies three essential qualities that guided its creation: clarity, discipline and character.

Born from the desire to design a typeface that reflects both rigor and personality, Almarena® Typeface expresses a quiet strength. The sharp confidence of the “A” and the controlled tension of the “X” give the alphabet a stable and composed presence. It is a typeface that does not shout, yet it asserts itself with precision.

Here, the approach is straightforward: no unnecessary ornament, no nostalgic gesture. Almarena® Typeface embraces the essence of the lineal tradition while introducing subtle tensions and optical refinements that bring life to the drawing. Each curve and terminal has been carefully adjusted to preserve clarity while maintaining a distinct rhythm across the word.

The result is a typeface that feels both strict and expressive. A balanced geometry combined with discreet optical corrections produces a calm typographic voice — stable, reliable and unmistakably contemporary.

Almarena® Typeface stands in that rare territory where neutrality meets identity: a disciplined alphabet capable of carrying ideas with quiet authority.

Almarena® Typeface — Rooted in the lineage of the first lineals.

Lineal typefaces, also known as Grotesks, emerged during the 19th century alongside the industrial revolution. By removing serifs and traditional ornamentation, they broke away from historical references and embraced the spirit of modernity.

Designed for posters, signage and public communication, these alphabets needed to be direct, legible and visible from a distance. Their forms were bold, rational and efficient — a new visual language for an era of machines, movement and industry.

Throughout the 20th century, lineals became the typographic backbone of modern design. From railway stations to corporate identities, they shaped the visual landscape of cities and brands alike.

Almarena® Typeface continues this lineage.
It respects the functional clarity of early grotesks while introducing a contemporary sense of balance and optical refinement.

Use

Versatile and composed, Almarena® Typeface naturally integrates into a wide range of visual environments. Whether used on screen or in print, for editorial layouts, brand identities or digital interfaces, it provides a stable and legible typographic voice.

Its disciplined structure creates a sense of reliability and clarity — qualities essential for modern communication. At the same time, subtle details within the drawing give the typeface a distinctive presence that prevents it from fading into anonymity.

This balance between neutrality and character makes Almarena® Typeface a practical yet expressive tool for designers.

Like the great lineals adopted by iconic brands — from Apple to Chanel — it relies on impact, clarity and restraint. In a world saturated with visual noise, simplicity remains the strongest statement.

And also

Built on the foundations of the original Almarena®, Almarena Neue® refines the drawing and expands its possibilities through variable technology. Weight, rhythm and contrast can now move fluidly across a continuous spectrum, adapting to every layout and scale. A sharper tool, designed for contemporary screens and dynamic design systems.I want Almarena Neue. ->

One license per project. The purchaser can be either the client or the designer and must choose the appropriate license according to the criteria specified in the purchase form.

It covers all uses except for logo creation, merchandising, and media/cinema usage. It includes:
• The Desktop License
• The Web License
• The App License
• The Social Media License

Yes, you generally need a separate license for each of your projects.

Using a single license across multiple projects or use cases with distinct licensing requirements may lead to compliance issues. For instance, if you use a web license for multiple websites that collectively exceed the allowed page views, you would be violating the license terms.

Yes, you generally need a separate license for each of use cases.

Licenses specify the permitted uses of the font, and if you plan to integrate it in multiple ways, you may require multiple licenses. For example, creating a logo and a website would require purchasing two different licenses.

A logo license is required for each company logo that incorporates the font. This license allows you to use the logo in any context. The license coverage must reflect the total number of employees in the company using the logo, as specified in the purchase form. The starting price is €200 and varies depending on your company’s size.

The merchandising license covers your creations used on products intended for sale (goodies, clothing, etc.). This does not apply if the font is only used in the company’s logo and you already hold a logo license.

You will need this broadcast license for an advertising campaign aired on television, a spot shown on TV media, or any other use on TV/cinema screens. Please contact us for more details about this license.

Each license purchase includes the full set of purchased font families in the following formats: OTF, WOFF, and WOFF2.
